【摘要】:Thisstandardspecifiesamethodtomeasurethebreakingstrengthofaselfadhesivetapewhenitissubjectedtoatensileforcesufficienttocauseittobreak.Thebreakingstrengthofadhesivetapeisofvalueasanindicationofitsuniformityandquality,anditsabilitytowithstandstressesduringapplicationanduse.Themaximumwidthofadhesivetapetestedbythismethodis25mm.Foradhesivetapesofthiswidthorless,thebreakingstrengthmeasuredcorrespondstothatassuppliedcommercially,withfactory-cutedges.Foradhesivetapeswiderthan25mm,thistestmethodprovidesfortheadhesivetapetobecutdownto25mmwithawell-sharpenedinstrument.Insuchcases,becauseofthebettercuttingoftheedges,theresultscanbehigherthanwouldbefoundoncommercialtape.
