【摘要】:ThisTechnicalReport(TR)describesamethodologytoidentifywaterborneoilsspilledinmarine,estuarineandaquaticenvironmentsbycomparingsamplesfromspillswiththoseofsuspectedsources.Itprovidesdetailedanalyticalandprocessingspecificationsforidentifyingwaterborneoilspillsandtheircorrelationtosuspectedsources.Whensuspectedsourcesarenotavailable,themethodologymaybeusedtocharacterisethespillasfaraspossiblewithrespecttotheoiltype.ThismethodologyisrestrictedtopetroleumandpetroleumproductscontainingasignificantproportionofHC-componentswithaboilingpointabove200°C.Examplesare:Crudeoils,condensates,lightfueloils,dieseloils,residualbunkeroils,lubricants,andmixturesofbilgeandsludgesamples.Still,thegeneralconceptsdescribedinthismethodologyhavealimitedapplicabilityforsomekerosenesandsomecondensates,butmaynotbeapplicableforgasolineNOTEThismethodisnotintendedforoilspillstogroundwaterandsoil.Thechromatogramsofoilextractedfromsoilandfoundingroundwatermaycontainreducedand/oradditionalpeakscomparedtothesourcesample.Includingsuchsamplesinthismethodmakesitnecessarytoaddextractionmethodsandtodescribewhichcompoundsarepossiblyreducedand/orwhichadditionalpeakscanbeexpectedtochangethefinalconclusionfromaprobablematchintoamatch.Thisisbeyondthescopeofthisguideline,however,whencasesamplescompletelymatchaccordingtothismethod,themethodisvalidforthosesamples.
