【摘要】:ThistestmethodisusedtopreparespecimensfordeterminingthevolumetricandphysicalpropertiesofcompactedHMAmix.Thistestmethodisusefulformonitoringthedensityoftestspecimensduringthecompactionprocess.ThistestmethodissuitedforthelaboratorydesignandfieldcontrolofHMA.Note18212;Thequalityoftheresultsproducedbythisstandardaredependentonthecompetenceofthepersonnelperformingtheprocedureandthecapability,calibration,andmaintenanceoftheequipmentused.AgenciesthatmeetthecriteriaofStandardPracticeD3666aregenerallyconsideredcapableofcompetentandobjectivetesting/sampling/inspection/etc.UsersofthisstandardarecautionedthatcompliancewithPracticeD3666alonedoesnotcompletelyassurereliableresults.Reliableresultsdependonmanyfactors;followingthesuggestionsofPracticeD3666orsomesimilaracceptableguidelineprovidesameansofevaluatingandcontrollingsomeofthosefactors.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthecompactionofcylindricalspecimensofhotmixasphalt(HMA)usingtheSuperpaveGyratoryCompactor(SGC).Thisstandardalsoreferstothedeterminationoftherelativedensityofthecompactedspecimensatanypointinthecompactionprocess.Compactedspecimensaresuitableforvolumetricandphysicalpropertytesting.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thetextofthistestmethodreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthestandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
